The Position

Director of Business Development. We are looking for a candidate experienced in the meeting, incentive, and convention industry. As an independent contractor, this is an opportunity to have your own business without the administrative headache that goes along with it, to work when and where you want, and to enjoy the benefits of an exciting global industry

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree, or equivalent work experience in the hospitality industry
  • 3 years’ new account acquisition experience, with proven year-over-year revenue growth
  • Highly ethical with the ability to put client’s interests as your highest priority
  • Ability to establish and grow relationships
  • Must have active listening skills and high level of confidence to ask direct questions and problem solve
  • Capable of developing new accounts that could benefit from Thallo’s services

  • Has existing client base
  • Leverages referrals and networks within existing client base to create future opportunities
  • Reviews and understands the financial condition of prospective clients and plans a sales approach that best incorporates how Thallo’s services can benefit their business
  • Anticipates common client objections and prepares counter offers
  • Stays up to date on various stakeholder roles in the client organization
  • Able to develop a sales strategy and communicate why our services are superior to our competition
  • Actively seeks confirmation from the client that all requirements are met and concerns have been resolved
  • Promptly secures a letter of agreement and contract
